Shop for Netherton Foundry Cast Iron
Our objective is to design and build quality products made from parts sourced from Shropshire and its neighbouring counties. At the time of writing 60% of our products value meets this objective and we will strive to improve upon this.
We know our suppliers and they share our enthusiasm for a product built with quality parts making a product with provenance
Our Home:
Netherton Foundary's home is in South Shropshire, we sit right in the birth place of the European industrial revolution. This was Eighteenth Century "Silicon valley". Today the heavy iron and coal industries are all but a distant memory and for the most part, this corner of rural England has returned to a much quieter way of life.At Netherton Foundry, we have been inspired by the eighteenth and nineteenth Shropshire Iron masters, especially Abraham Darby. He was the creator of the worlds first iron bridge. We wish to look again at the values that inspired this amazing period of creativity and energy. However we also wish to learn from there mistakes and avoid the misuse of this beautiful land.
Its all about Provenance:
Provenance, from the French provenir, "to come from", means the origin, or the source of something, or the history of the ownership or location of an object.
We are proud of our product, what its made from and where it came from. We wish you to share in this pride and keep using our product for a very long time.
We aspire to build products with real quality:
Netherton Foundry believe that in order to build a truly quality product it must be: Durable, sustainable and repairable.

Shop for Willie’s Supreme Cacao
Willie is the only small cacao grower and producer in the UK. He has been farming cacao for more than a decade at Hacienda El Tesoro, his farm high in the mountains of Venezuela.
Willie’s Cacao bars are made from beans selected by Willie from the very best cacao regions around the world. Our bars are all single bean origin of exceptional quality, each bar representing the natural flavour of the region. Like fine wine the beans will take their flavour from the soil in which they are grown.
Willie’s beans are traditionally roasted in his chocolate factory in Devon, England using 100-year-old machinery to produce an authentic, individual pure cacao and chocolate bars. The machines may be smaller and slower than today’s modern machines, which are made for speed and commercial profitability, but they capture the subtle notes and unique flavours of the cacao in a way the modern machines are unable to do. After fermentation roasting is the next most important stage in developing their unique flavour and aroma. High quality beans don’t need heavy roasting, so Willie lightly roasts his in 60-kilo batches for 20-30 minutes. The beans are then winnowed, ground and refined in a stone mill and then conched before reaching the final tempering stage. Lastly, the bars are wrapped and packed at the factory.
Willie’s Cacao produces two types of bars: a range of dark chocolate bars and a range of 100% cacao bars.

Shop for Scanpan
SCANPAN A/S is one of the world’s leading producers of non-stick products and have for more than 5 decades produced Danish high quality long-lasting cookware. Deeply anchored in traditional, sound techniques of craftsmanship, we make functional and timeless utensils for the modern kitchen – from the everyday household to the professional kitchen. Our brand is in constant development, and we are proud to say that we always lead the way in innovation and technology.
The core of the core
Since the beginning in 1956, our cast aluminium products with patented ceramic titanium coating have made up the core of our business. This is why we cast all our non-stick products in our own factory in Denmark – as the only Danish cookware producer. Liquid, environmentally friendly aluminium is poured into a mould by hand and is then squeeze-cast by 250 tons. In the following processes, 30,000 degrees hot titanium is fused into the compressed aluminium, and the non-stick coating is applied and hardened. The unique casting technique assures maximum sustainability and perfect heat distribution on the entire frying surface. The quality is verified down to the smallest detail throughout the entire production process.
Eco-conscious cookware
At SCANPAN we strive to make a difference. In the kitchen as well as for the environment. This means that all our cast aluminium products are made of environmentally friendly aluminium in our own factory in Denmark. As part of our on-going product and technology development, we have also developed Green Tek, a coating 100% free from PFOA and PFOS chemicals. Together with our patented ceramic titanium technology, Green Tek forms one of the most resistant non-stick coatings on the market.
Vast range of highest quality
SCANPAN supplies uncompromising cookware for the personal kitchen. Besides the popular non-stick products, SCANPAN’s product range also included refined design ranges and professional steel and copper series, special products for daily cooking, kitchen knives and baking moulds in functional and hygienic silicone. To assure the level of quality, ease-of-use and aesthetics, we continuously discuss new ideas with our business partners and professional chefs.
The company
SCANPAN A/S exports to 45 countries. Constantly growing, today export sales comprises more than 75% of our total turnover. The company is 100% Danish owned with head office and own factory near Aarhus, Denmark. In addition, SCANPAN A/S has an office in Finland as well as subsidiaries in Norway, Singapore and China.
Shop for GreenPan
GreenPan™ does not use PTFE, but brings with Thermolon™ non-stick technology a healthy alternative to the market. Thermolon™ is heat resistant up to high temperatures. This means that GreenPan™ has an extra safety feature; if you overheat your pan, even up to 450°C/850°F, no toxic fumes will be released and the coating will not blister or peel.
Climate change is already happening and represents one of the greatest environmental, social and economic threats facing the planet. We want to produce products as responsibly as we can. We try to make them energy efficient in order to save precious resources.
- Our non-stick pots and pans are the first to be made with a non-stick coating made of minerals instead of plastics.
- PTFE coatings are manufactured with the aid of PFOA (PerFluoroOctanoic Acid), which is classified as a ‘persistent pollutant of the environment’*. Besides that, PFOA is a tough chemical that the body has the greatest difficulties in expelling and is known to be a ‘likely human carcinogen’*. We don’t use PTFE, so no PFOA can be emitted in the environment. * According to the EPA (Environmental Protection Agency, a US federal agency in charge of the protection of human health and the environment)
- Less energy is used when Thermolon™ is applied on GreenPan™ products, which means 60% less CO2 emission compared with the production of PTFE-coated pans.
- We process used materials into new products to prevent waste of potentially useful materials. Therefore we use upcycled stainless steel for the handles and upcycled aluminium for the cookware bodies.
- GreenPan™ actively puts effort in research on how to minimize and optimize packaging materials.

Shop for All Clad
When John Ulam founded All-Clad Metalcrafters more than 35 years ago, his discipline as a metallurgist compelled him to bond together different metals to capitalize on each of their unique properties. His bonded cookware was the embodiment of simple, classic design, and proved to perform beyond the capabilities of any single-metal cookware.
Today, American artisans, using American-made metals, handcraft bonded cookware in the tradition that established a new benchmark for professional bonded cookware. At each stage of the manufacturing process, every piece of All-Clad bonded cookware is hand-inspected to ensure that it maintains All-Clad quality standards.
Every detail receives critical attention. The signature stay-cool handle is cast from solid stainless steel, and is ergonomically-designed for comfort during long cooking sessions. Rivets are formed from high-yield-strength stainless steel, and treated to remove trace elements of iron that could otherwise cause corrosion. These painstaking efforts result in a finished bonded cookware product that maintains the same integrity it was created with, even after a lifetime of service.
