Robert Welch Knives Instore Demonstration

For over 50 years, within a few modest rooms in the 18th century silk mill at Chipping Campden in the Cotswolds, a small team of people has created 3,418 individual new products, leading to sales of over 46 million items around the world.
The Robert Welch range of products is remarkably extensive.
Even more remarkable is the fact that, unlike other design companies, none of the products are bought in or created by outside designers.
Every item, large or small, has been created by the Robert Welch Design Team in Chipping Campden in the same building where Robert Welch started all those years ago.
Robert Welch award winning Signature Knives have been designed in consultation with professional chefs. We have developed a range of knives that give you comfort in the hand and the optimum cutting action.
Fully forged German DIN 1.4116 stainless steel, with a full tang for extra strength, each knife has been individually constructed for its specific task in food preparation to minimise fatigue. All Signature knives are gift boxed, have a lifetime guarantee and are dishwasher safe.

This Friday 30th September join us instore to see these fabulous knives and discuss their qualitiies with Joseph of Robert Welch.

How to sharpen Global Knives

Global knives come out of the factory in Japan with a very sharp edge and CROMOVA 18, Globals unique blade material, ensures that this sharpness will be maintained longer than most other knives. However, Global knives need to be sharpened from time to time to maintain their keen edge. As a general rule, the best sharpening tool for an individual is one that he or she is going to use. Each tool is different and may be easy or difficult to use depending on the individual and their level of experience or skill.

Global recommends periodically sharpening your knives using either a water-stone or ceramic stone. In between stone sharpening, it is recommended that you use the Global fine ceramic or diamond rod (we like this easy to use Minosharp Water Wheel Sharpener) to keep the edges of your knives aligned. (Global serrated knives do not need to be sharpened)
